Heather was born on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and grew up in San Jose, California. After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, Heather began performing internationally. She has entertained veterans and active duty military around the world with the USO, sang with the Mario Celia Jazz Band in Germany, Austria, and Italy, and entertained audiences in Shanghai, Beijing, Ho Chi Minh, and Hong Kong.

While singing in Asia, Heather met her husband and songwriting partner, Brian Hewgley, a native of Tennessee.  Together, they embarked on a country music project in 2013 recording Heather’s first single My Reason Why in Nashville.  The song was inspired by their meeting each other in 2012.

The second single Can I Get a Volunteer won Heather attention from country radio and landed her a feature at the University of Tennessee's Neyland stadium in 2014.

In 2015, Heather moved with her husband and three dogs from New York to Phoenix, Arizona and began her greatest project with the welcome of their daughter in January 2016, followed by their son in September 2019.  Heather spent four years performing throughout the southwest with The Lucky Devils band and Jazz Con Alma, as well as doing improv with The National Comedy Theater while continuing to write original material.

In 2020, Heather and her family purchased a thirty foot Airstream and hit the road full time. They have since settled in Brian’s hometown in Tennessee where they continue to write and sing together. Heather can be seen performing locally in and around Nashville, Chattanooga, Manchester, and Tullahoma.
